MDS can assist you when working with the UCDP for processing appraisals for your Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac loans.
MDS will serve as an Agent to all their clients who are registered users of the Appraisal Firewall platform. MDS/Appraisal Firewall is the most reliable Appraisal Management Platform available in the mortgage industry today providing compliance with the TILA & Dodd Frank Act Regulation "Appraisal Independence Requirements" (AIR).
MDS will certify that all your trusted appraisers are listed in your roster and that these appraisers will have all the Industry Certifications and E&O Policies in order, updated and available in the Platform for Auditing. MDS will provide you with a Certificate of Compliance on every appraisal transaction after reviewing every communication log registered in each transaction within Appraisal Firewall. MDS will provide you an Automated Appraisal Review for each appraisal process within Appraisal Firewall. All these services are part of the services rendered by MDS in addition to represent you as an Agent in the UCDP.
MDS not only Certifies that your appraisal transactions are done in accordance to AIR but also will provide you with the solutions for submitting your appraisals to the UCDP system. Submit your appraisal directly to UCDP from within our Appraisal Firewall system. You will receive the Doc File # and the SSR right at Appraisal Firewall. No need to log into UCDP to submit appraisals. This will provide you ease of mind knowing that MDS will assist you in the process of obtaining the "Document File Number" and the "Successful Status Report" message for your final appraisal submitted to the UCDP system. Here are more features we offer:
- Save time by submitting appraisals to UCDP right within the AF platform.
- Catch issues before UCDP submission with our UAD check – verifies over 300 appraisal data points, including "UCDP Hard Stops" which will cause submissions to fail.
- Elect to have all completed reports be submitted directly to UCDP automatically.
- Automatically have AF render a PDF version of every appraisal delivered in XML format so that you have a human-readable version of the appraisal.
In working with Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter (DU) or Desktop Originator (DO) and Freddie Mac Loan Prospector (LP) you will need to have your assigned UCDP "Doc Number" for the appraisal you previously submitted in UCDP in order to move your loans forward within the Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS). All mortgage loans submitted to DU/DO or LP will need to be in compliance with UCDP before the Automated Underwriting decision being processed.
